Low on Credit

There are times when a short of cash and not an available and nearby ATM machine makes me want to grit my teeth. In Singapore we use NETS for our purchases and it cuts the hassle of queing up for your turn at the ATM machine while we can use our ATM cards at any NETS supporting merchants and just pay for our purchase with an instant deduct from our account upon immediate approval.

But that service is not widely used around the world due to the fact that each banks has their own policy and is governed differently in each states. So to avoid shoppers from great inconvenience, credit cards were invented. But the problem when using credit cards is the amounting debts that some people just cease to acknowledge.

So how and where to choose the right card for you? With the best and lowest interest rate, privileges attached to the cards and also the principal amount, it can be time consuming for consumers to hunt for the best credit card deals.

However at this site, you can view Low Rate Credit Card from different banks and different promotion type.

Is it really greener on the other side?

With the increase of the inflation rate and the rise in the electricity bills, I'm making dire decisions on which place is the best to stay.

Singapore or Malaysia.

Being a born and bred in Singapore, its not an easy decision to make since I'm so used to the efficient and comfort life of the clean Singapore. But as the years goes by and maturity strikes in, my mind began sorting out all the calculations that is critically needed to draw the conclusion.

Even though Malaysia has a slagging low level in terms of education and transport, that doesn't mean its out of my decision list. The low cost living in Malaysia is a plus for me even though it has some disadvantages in the public transport. But its much more better than staying in the ever increasing expenses of Singapore living.

Staying in Malaysia and bringing in income from Singapore is wonderland for me. So what if I got to pay CPF and Medisave? It still beats having to scrunge up the meager leftover salary to be divided into different parts to pay for the other expenses if I live in Singapore. If I stay in Malaysia and work in Singapore, I'm reaping in twice the amount I can spend in Singapore.

Duh! Exchange rate my dear friends. SGD1 is equivalent to RM2.23 ok so do your math. See whether living in Malaysia is worth it or not.

Happy New Year!!

New Year's Eve people!!

Happy New Year and may the upcoming year be a very fruitful and prosperous one!!

Now where is my rubber duckie?...

Vehicle Maintainence

Radiators are a must to repair and if need be to be changed. I used to have lots of problems with the radiator of my Honda Accord EXI. It usually overheats during stationary mode and when stuck in a traffic jam.

Thinking to counter the rise in temperature, I had the air-con turned off and resorted to using the natural air. But that only slowed down the problem at hand. It was a frustrating time when those problems happen especially when I had send it for repair to many workshops and even had it changed. It was suppose to be ok but I only got a painful heart pain at the unsolved problem and a large hole in my pocket.

But luckily I got to know this particular mechanic. He took a few looks into the radiator system. After checking and diagonising the problem at hand, he went up to his store, took out a relay, did some operation to my relay box and after some major test drive, the radiator problem was solved!

It turns out that my radiator was perfectly OK but due to the incompetence of the previous mechanics, they didn't know that a faulty relay can cause a problem to the rise in the temperature.

Radiators can be costly if you wish to repair it in your garage. For example, a usual Honda Civic Radiator can cost USD 600 if you are not careful. But if you know their knicks and knacks to get the best deals in town like the link before mentioned, why not? But make sure you know what you're doing and you have a very reliable mechanic if you are unsure.

Resolution

What will be my new year's resolution come 2008?

1) Get a long holiday
2) Close more than 10 huge deals
3) Go for full body checkup
4) Send my parents for full body checkup
5) Have a tighter reign on my emotions and anger
6) Make sure Ayu and Arul doesn't cause mayhem
7) Have a monthly bank account deposits of $3000.00
8) Lepaks with Kwn-kWn
9) Learn a new subject most probably some bio diesel topic
10) Get a tighter grip in life

Neopets> blast from the past

It's been years since I last dropped into Neopets. For three years and dunno how many months, there has been many drastic changes. One of them is the portal itself. They have really made an online world just by well, having Neopets.

When I browsed to see how my pets were doing, I wasn't surprised they were in the dying status but they're virtual, so no worries on them dying. Hahaha..

But being the money sensed me, I checked my Neo Bank status. Woohoo!! Their yearly interest was NP9,800 p.a. So I just need to shake my leg, sit on my bum and earn NP from my interest. hahaha..Too bad they aren't able to convert into real form of form. I would be a rich millionaire now.

Then they have new games, new boards and well to make it short, basically they got newer! And I'm itching to get a hold on their Draik Plushie. Wonder if they still have the products..

Good Driving Lamps

With the new technologies and more studies implemented to improve products, many car manufacturers have resorted to FRP as their fender and bumpers due to its durability and light weight.

They are not the only car accessories that is constantly changing and improving. Even your vehicle lights have made a drastic improvement. During the first few years when motor vehicles were widely manufactured, fog lights were not even thought of.

Now with many years of changes and improvement, different form of lights and lamps have been invented and one of them are zenon lights or also known as HID (High Intensity Discharge Lighting) lights. It's much brighter than the usual driving lamps and are extremely good in night driving.

Shopping Frenza

Energizer or Camelion?

Both are extremely good battery brands. But for those under budget like me, I'd prefer having Camelion. Not only that I knew of a perfect place where I can get extremely good discount for my rechargeable batteries. Hehehe.. In fact I know a place where all the cheap wholesale items are sold in Singapore.

I can't tell you guys that else you would certainly know where all the Pasar Malam merchants get their good stuff. I so love the place! I can get 6 FA Deodrant sprays at a price of $12 and all of them are years before expiry. Good bargain isn't it?

I do however intend to bring someone into that place so the both of us can indulge in pure goodies!! ahahaha

Habbo?

What's with the craze with Habbo?

Everytime I let my siblings use the bandwith, the only usage they do is Habbo. EH? What's nice about playing characters that look like LEGO and walking around the places in the Online RPG? The Sims2 is totally much better than that.

And the chat they talk about online is so kiddos! The other players talk about their PSLE results, problems faced in primary school (i remembered mine very clearly) and well things that kids usually talk about. I wonder if there are adults who played Habbo...

But what's the point of navigating your character around when you don't do anything? Ugh! Boring.. at least neopets is much better.. hahaha

yeah and I still play them and my yearly interest is 9000NP without playing for years, just sit on my but and earn the NP. If only the NP can be converted into real cash. I'd be a millionaire now.

Pool remodelling.

What do you think of when you want to fully utilize an abandon space of 2400sq ft? I was thinking of swimming pool. Lazing around the pool during the hot and sunny day and diving in when the mood strikes.

I can just imagine the squeals of excitement my little nieces will be making when they see the big Andi-Andi. Rubber duckies, pokka dots float and occasional sights of thrown milk bottles will surely decorate the pool side. Hmm.. Come to think of it, I think I better call in Nanny Macfee trained in professional life saving.

Sure the kids and the toddlers will love having a large "puddle" of water. But the thought of the cheeky 3 year olds that has a six sense of a fish will surely put az pool remodeling at a test. Those kids can swindle, manipulate and squeeze all the good favors they can get. Hopefully the pool professionals have some tips on child safety.

Gastric Pains Again...

I've not been in the good health in the past few days and its all due to stress and pressure. Lots of work pressure and other close related stress that makes me lose my sleep, have bad eyebags, gastric attacks and symptoms of high blood pressure.

I can't even look at my screen monitor comfortably without having the need to massage my eyes every 5mins. This is getting way over board. If my GP were to find out that I'm getting loads of stress and damaging my body, he'll lose his top. Like the 4th of July!

So the moment I close a few business deals, I am so going for a long and deserving holiday with my mobile turned off and washed away by the ocean. No Caribbeans for me, it'll be the dusty desert with lots of dead zombies and golden treasures.

I need a holiday!!!

Online Learning

It's been a long time since I've updated but thats because I've been doing some research on Online Learning. Just because I have graduated with flying colors, that doesn't mean I don't need to upgrade myself.

However its been three years since I've last entered into any institute without wrecking havoc to any faculty and well, the cafeterias. So I think this year would be a nice time to enroll myself to an online institute. At least the Dean would not need to file any damage reports.

I'm thinking of getting the Big Boss to enroll me on a upgrading session with Capella University since the technology world is constantly changing and upgrading. You can't have me dealing the technical errors with one manual on one hand and a "How to Troubleshoot for Dummies" in the other. That will cause a major technical error.

In fact that will make me have nightmares!

Changes will be made

I'm starting to dislike the current theme I have here. Looks so boring with all white and a Pomegranate fruit as a Star background.

Therefore I shall be doing some other weird changes here and there to make this blog looks better and with more powerful content.

So don't be surprised for the changes that will be implemented.

ciaoz!

A few thoughts

The new products which was launched a few weeks back is getting a bit slagging. Too many competitors, the market too saturated.

So now I'm looking into penetrating the market with agressive marketing strategy. Which means all the tricks and knacks which was used during the oldern times will be resurrected.

It will take a few months to see the fruits of this strategy. In the mean time, I will have to follow the market closely and keep an eye on other irritating problems.

Silver surfing

I need to make it big or it will be another 30years down the road in front of the keyboard for me. With this workload and not so interesting work incentive, I really am thinking of doing something else.

Ever since the crude oil prices has increased to USD98++ per barrel, everything shot up sky high. This includes petroleum, power bills, precious metals and many more. While I was driving pass a transport lorry in one of the industrial roads, I happen to glimpse at an Aluminum Ingot and it rang a bell.

With the current market, I can surely use a good investment on silver. Silver is cheaper as compared to gold ingots. Gold itself, the 999 not 916 purity is too expensive to buy. So I'd settle for the silver one.

It is a good way of investing!

I'm working

Ok so life has been very hectic. Everything is piled onto me suddenly. Within 4 hours all the work has to be done.

My hair is in a mess, my table.. uh.. its a trash can here. And my work luckily almost finishing. Now its 4pm.. a few more hours to go before I can call it a day.

Too many work and only a little slow-poke me.

Working life is sooo hard...

Scrambled thoughts

It's a few more days to go and I'm not looking anything forward on it. It's just a day to announce that it is officially one year older and another year closer to death. So nothing new and special for me.

Payments on my Paid Postings have been delayed but at least they have paid me a small sum to make me shut up, I think.

Had my usual day to day rantings with the old man and its usually over a cup of morning coffee or tea. A great way to start my day...

One Stop Medical E-Shop

Mom's fingers are infected by somesort of fungi that was caused by the constant use of high content of soda in the detergents used. Since she is a full time housewife, she usually washes the laundry with her bare hands before tranferring it into the washing machine.

It's not a good practice for sensitive skin people and its sure very painful when things get itchy. So getting good creams for her burns and fungi infection can be a hassle especially in the rural parts of Malaysia. Don't get me wrong, Malaysia is a great country but there are times when good quality items are tough to get in the rural areas.

But thankfully I got defibrillator. They are a one stop online shop for medical supplies such as Diabetic supplies, Maternity Cares and Nutritional Dietry Supplements. It has a large inventory and varieties, an A+ for shoppers like me.

Ayu the Banshee

My Sony Ericsson K610im got hijacked by Ayu. She finally found out I was the devil behind the disturbance she was facing when she was using my computer. Windows Start Button Keep popping up, Browser keeps scrolling up and down by themselves and weird softwares pop up.

Ayu was extremeely worried, thinking she had done something to my computer for it to react that way. It was pure fun seeing her worried face and her "Blink-Blink Goldfish Look". I was having a hard time controlling my laughter but my luck ran out.

She found out about my Bluetooth Enabled programs. Dad! You traitor!

I was roaring in laughter as I try to run away from the Raging Banshee. It took 15mins of roaring laughter, screaming banshee, open endless threats, dad's intermission advice "Don't kill your sister. I still need her." (that doesn't help much), alot of accidental groping before I finally let her win and surrendered the handphone to her.

But stupid of her, she didn't turn off the bluetooth program on my computer. So I did the same thing using my dad's phone and well... you can say "Here we go again!"

Hahaha.. evil me!!

Weekend Plans

No calls whatsoever means I'm free for the weekend!

I'm gonna enjoy the free days I'll be spending courtesy to my elder sister. I didn't want sleepover at her house but the tempting knowledge that she has filled her fridge to the brim did me in. Who am I to contest over the contents of her fridge?

I'm a mere human.. who is pulled by the calls of her stomach.. hehehe

So anyway I shall be updating some posts live from her house with the fridge 2 meters away from me.. hehehe

Of course I shall also use that time to pick a few old letters from granpapa house, visit my cousin, chit chat with my gal friends and meet up with that special person in the night.. To be completed in 2 days!! Rabak...

So I'm going to be dizzy with exhaustion running around. That haven't include playing with A-mi-mi and her evil counterpart, Barney. Those two are scary...

Mailing List

The big boss has been at it again. Since the sales for this month, or was it this 6 months, had drastically dropped, our heads was put on the line. No profitable sales, no income, it's every business owner's nightmare. I've seen the financial reports and it's not a pretty sight.

We have tried all sorts of sales campaign, from the local newspapers, network and connections and through the internet. It still doesn't work. When things doesn't work, I'm in deep trouble since I am answerable to his Majesty's wrath.

Perhaps I need to ask the boss to engage the services of Mailing Lists. From what I know they do mailing lists, sales leads and telemarketing lists which my company haven't thought of yet. Perhaps I should try asking them for a quote and if it's affordable and good, I can bring this matter up to the big boss.

Being the daughter to the big boss is such hard work...

Ayu got hacked!

Oops.. I did a little fiddle and twitches on Small Brat's blog and she's not happy. Not my fault really. She left her blog unsigned and un-log-out. But if it weren't for her, she would not have the Sponge Bob theme for her blog template.

Well I did get mischievous and write an appreciation letter of my handiwork on her blog. Hehehe.. yup.. I did it and she yakking at me for it. Hahaha..

So anyway I'm still stuck on the main topics that will be discussed on this blog. But don't worry, I'll not let this blog do into dust.

Vampy Re-vamped!

As you can see, my blog here has underwent a major change with the previous static and bored to death template changed. OF course, there are a few missing widgets and links which I had previously installed now went missing.

But please take note that with the new changes that is taking up, I'm gonna do some makeover on the contents of this blog. The previous posts will still be online but the newest ones will now be less Zackire but more Syikin.. It makes no difference to most since both are me, but in personal touches, Syikin is much more outstanding.

So keep coming back and see the changes that will be implemented today.

Beauty School.. CHA-cha-CHA!

I couldn't comprehend why my younger sister wish to choose a weird profession. I would have thought she had wanted to be a doctor, a technical officer, graphics designer or take over my place in this company. But I didn't expect her to say she wanted to become a Professional Make Up Artist.

Smack me down. That comment rendered me speechless. But what can I say, she likes the style, the fashion and if it cashes in thousands by the month, why not.. And since the schools in Singapore only caters to the brainiacs and PHD wannabe, I'd have to place her somewhere in the US.

cosmetology schools are really difficult to find in Singapore, in fact there is none that could be recognised worldwide. The artists in Singapore have to run overseas just to see their dreams come true. But I think in 10 years time, the situation will improve. Already there are improvements taken up by the government to promote well gifted students like my younger sister.

Until the Arts School in Singapore is recognised, I will have to no choice but place Ayu in the States.

Paying the bills

Just had a call from dad. I need to pay the water bills. Unfortunately the SAJ Holdings doesn't have RHB as a merchant to pay via internet banking. What a mess and trouble!

It looks like I need to track down to Larkin and pay the bills. Aiyoh.. So leceh siak!

Rants pt2

I just came back from a meeting with a client. Too much coffee in the blood stream, luckily I didn't do anything weird that can tarnish the reputation of the company. So from what I deduce out of the meeting, I'm on standby for the whole of two weeks.

Which means, all my leaves which I had applied for is cancelled or at least not approved yet until the client calls. Business and money is more important than my days off from my messy working lair.

Ugh.. If this drags on, I need to eat my chocolates today. A pathetic way to console myself.. hehehe..

Anyway I need to get back to work..

Stress reliever

Finally had a rest from the work pile. Lunch was good and relaxing. Quarreling with my old man is much more relaxing and fun. Releases my stress.. hehehe..

It has become a habit for me to have a world war with my dad everyday and of course everything goes back per normal the moment I went back home. I guess my dad also enjoys the picks and fights as I can see him very relax after all the hot air balloon became deflated.

Sure mom always advices us not to bring any work problems back home but sometimes work stress can really make a person circuited the fuse. Good thing I have the old man around, I can scream and shout all I want, blow raspberry at him (I know it's childish) and he hollering at me. Hahaha... even now I can imagine him complaining to mom about our little "chat" during lunch break.

Hahaha..

Rants

Memo Credits, Statement Charge, P&L, Balance Sheet...

Ugh! I hate doing accounting but that is the job I'm stuck in. Financial Reports weekly handed over, Yearly reports to the Auditors... I just don't understand how friends of mine who are accountants can enjoy it.

I'm supposed to be their Technical Eng but got stuck doing this cuz of lack of man power. Hopeless... really hopeless..

Pregancy Tips

My elder sister is pregnant again. This time it's a boy. Since it is a boy, my poor pregnant sister has to waddle around to shop for new baby clothes as A-mi-mi is a girl. Oops! Did I say waddle? I mean walked around.. One DO NOT tell pregnant ladies they waddle.. their pregnant hormones are very scary.. *shudders*

Ever since she got pregnant again, she constantly talks on her latest topic, pregnancy which sometimes can be very boring. So as not to hurt her feelings, I've decided to look up for some social networks for Pregnant Ladies to chit-chat online and share common topics.

Lucky me found the best website. Other than having a social network, they have tips on even baby shopping, I mean shopping for the newborn, like where to get good affordable child seat from baby shops and to little small things like baby diapers.

I'm trying to be a good younger sister here.. and also to safe myself from my ever-changing-moods of my pregnant sister.. hehehe

Part three on Tips on Making Ca$h Online is up

I've updated my part three of Tips on Making Money online. However the post is not located in this webbie but my other main Web. You can check it out here: http://www.zackire.com/good-web-hosters.htm

The third part consist of list on reliable and money worth for WebHosting Solutions. And with my fussy taste, I get the best of the best... I mean not really THE best in the market but the best for me.

But I'd still advice on taking up Gator Host. Very Good!

Cekik Darah..

The kids are once again trying to plunder my wallet.. This time they claim their Ez-Link has almost a nil value and yada..yada.. In short, they need money.

But I can't decide to give it to them since their overall year result was very very disappointing. Someone managed to get an Fail for the overall result. So, do you think its a best idea to hand the cash over to them?

Did I mention that they just leave their rubbish on the floor after consuming their junkies? Ugh! I sometimes really wish I could take a broom to their head. Very lazy lots!

Moving House

Aunty Lala is a few days away from taking a week off for her moving off to her new house. Even though she has very little furniture, kitchenware and miscellaneous items, that doesn't mean she doesn't need extra hands to help her out. Her husband and only son can only do so much.

So to help her out, I've rallied a few extra helps, my cousins basically, and a help from Cheap Moving Company. They have a network of very reliable movers that doesn't take and hide, like the usual movers. The movers will stay and really help out moving out and moving into your new home.

Even though there are extra free help from my cousins and me, I can't really expect much from 12-15 year old. The very much they could do is help out for an hour or two before they got bored and start playing their PS3.

Which is why I got back up to help me out for an affordable rate. Play smart and think smart!

Beans for hot air

Tou-ge or bean sprouts and beans are not a good thing for gastric patients like me. It causes major Hot Air Balloon to our stomachs making me very dizzy, nauseas, vomitting every single hour and of course having Gas..

So the next time mom cooks Soto, I'm opting my favourite Tou-ge out. So sad for me.. NO more bean sprouts..

Foxy run!

Mozilla Firefox or IE?

I would prefer Mozilla anytime. It's simplicity and works perfectly with any resolution unlike IE which continuously gives me a headache everytime a larger webpage resolution is used. And its safer.. No irritating messages that pops out saying cookies disabled, latest Java version not supported and no need to fuss over the internet options.

Certainly Mozilla!!

Credit Card Rates

Finally I managed to get A-mi-mi from my desk, her dad's stash of credit cards and hopefully not having to babysit her in another 10mins. Yes the young toddlers have a thing for play with bright and shiny plastics which we call credit cards.

I've been itching to get a new credit card since the Mastercard Debit I'm having is not really accepted in most part of the country. The merchants prefer Visa, with obvious reasons. In Malaysia, Mastercard causes a lot of headache with merchants due to some of their technical system and also the fee charged on the merchant upon use.

Which is why I'm going to get myself a Visa credit card. But with the endless list of credit cards campaigns going on, going for the best deal, competent sales representative and also low interest rate can make me lost my patience.

For example, last night when I went for a shopping with my family, a female sale representative from a bank approached me to promote her credit card campaigns. The words she used were catchy and her promise of low interest rate draws me in. But the moment I checked the rates out, I flipped. It was 1.8% per month whereas I was told it was only 1.8%p.a. Lucky I checked it out!

Which is why I'm using Gas Credit Cards to check out all the offers of credit card rates before I jump in and sign up. 1.8% per month and 1.8% p.a makes alot of different and this time, I will do the checks on the rates.

A-mi-mi want!!

Me like Bee. A-mi-mi want to touch nice toy at Acik tv. Acik no see, A-mi-mi take.. hehehe..

That was what the little angel of a niece was saying when I caught her on my computer desk. Luckily I was on the right moment to stop her from disecting my collectible anime.

So now I'm trying to juggle a few stuffs at the same time. One of them having to stop the little gal from punching on the backspace as I type. It's very 'refreshing'.

That's it! I'm going to take a few minutes off while I find something to interest A-mi-mi other than my computer.

Late..

I'm a few months late! Oops.. I just realise something very important and it's not a good thing to be doing especially when you are dealing with the Company's Auditor. Really not good I tell you.

So to remedy that, I better send them all the necessary documents they need before they start disturbing my peace. After all, they really have bad timing and my B-day is next month. Having a call from them on that day is such a party pooper.

So type-typie-type!

Wedding plans

A good friend of mine, an old classmate, is getting her wedding bells to ring next March. But unfortunately, she is still clueless as to plan for her wedding. Its almost three more months for her and she's still happily traipsing around without a worry about her not even planned wedding date.

Well it seems I'm given the job of hunting for the best Wedding Ideas for her. So with a list of items she has luckily written out for her wedding, I became her wedding planner. I mean, how difficult was it planning for a wedding?

It was as easy as finding a needle in a hay stack!

But luckily I found a great site that suit my needs, I mean the bride's needs. So that means I need not need to run around like a lost chicken. She needs her hair done, wedding dresses, wedding souvenirs, flowers, food for the reception.. etc Basically everything a bride wants for her wedding.

Lucky me found the website that has it all! They even have honeymoon packages for the newly weds! I just can't wait to tell my friend about it.

Finally I can end my search..

Cutting it off

I hate long nails. Extremely hates it. I just don't understand how a person could enjoy having long nails. I have tried not cutting them for a week and even tried to adapt to it, but long nails are not for me.

I get very disgusted when the food I was preparing for dinner get stuck under the nails. Not only that, the grease which I had to ply onto the machines while I did some troubleshooting also got stuck underneath it. Then my nails got chipped and nearly got torn off while I was inspecting some works done on the roof of a building.

Long nails are meant for ladylike jobs, not my style! Plus the old time cantonese vampires keeps long nails to get their meals..

So that settles! No more long nails for me. Nu-uh.. not even I'm confined by my boss do re-do any weird database systems, no way am I ever having thoughts of getting my nails long.

Opps

I did a little fiddling with the scripts in my company's website and it went downhill. I had to spend a few frantic minutes to get everything back in order. It took 30mins and a few cups of coffee and it went back perfectly online.

Although the new ideas I wanted to implement had to be taken out. Funny that it can work on offline line mode but when caked up when I run it online. So that proves that I need to go back to my drawing board.

Finger goes tipee-type..

Wasted talent unless!!

A friend of mine was retelling his story the other day about a waste of his talent in the film making. Endless days he has poured his passion and love for film making and only to get his work rejected as what the producers have categorized as not qualified enough.

But when I took a look at it, it was quite fantastic with all the storyline and the graphics. Why did they reject him left me clueless. So in our little talk I suggested to him royalty free stock footage that is quite a hit with talented filmmakers and producers.

Why waste time trying to beg the local producers just to sell your ideas and creations when you can do it online? That was the punchline I gave him and it serve it's purpose. My friend got interested and wanted to know more.

So I went on explaining that AlwaysHD gathers works from film makers and producers, sets a price for their work and let out on sale on the internet. When the production gets sold, the filmmakers and producers gets 50% of the revenue that was sold and get paid monthly instead of the usual pay per contract basis.

See! At least there is some light to look forward to for new talented filmmakers and producers.

Journal and justice

New movies coming up..

And I'm having the worse time trying to juggle my excessive work, unexplained missing items, cranky cat and way too mischievous siblings.

If someone were to make a movie out of my life, I can assure you that the percentage of me choking on my popcorns and spilling my soda all over the seat is 100. Scary! No way in the world would I let the public see the inner part of my life like that poor Anne Frank girl.

No doubt they made her journal into a literature study, but I don't think she would appreciate her life being made into a spectacle especially during the last minutes of her life. However it is sad and I do share the sympathy that millions of people around the world felt when we learn the true expanse of what Hitler did during his reign of power.

And putting the bullet through his brain is such an easy way of serving justice to the lives that he had puppet out. If it were left to me, I'd put him in a large enclose safari so he wouldn't escape, implant a tracking device in his body, give him a day or two and set the hounds at his heels. Now that is torture oops.. I mean justice.

Let him feel the fear of being hunted down, the anxiety of knowing death is just but a breaths away and the feeling of helplessness.

A bullet through the head is simply too easy. *cackles diabolically*

Got trashed by Adsense

Due to the increase of traffic to my other webbie, Adsense has decided to take a kick to my backside. Account discontinued, suspended and if possible, closed.

Zipped!

Is it wrong to promote my website by going around telling the whole world I have a new blog and its happily owned by the whacko me? It’s obviously is a big No-NO to Google Adsense.

So ladies and gents out there, if you have a sudden traffic within a month of you stay at your new webbie, it’s best not to get Adsense implied onto your website. Unless you like getting a kick by them.

Oh well… better luck next time.. So in the meantime, I am certainly putting up new Ads in replace to the Got-My-Backside-Kicked Adsense, at least it makes more money than them!

hahaha..

Holiday Decisions

Remember that I had wanted to get myself a holiday and immerse my mobile in a sound proof container? With my endless decision for my holiday spot, I' m feeling like giving it up and just take the usual way to spend a holiday, at home and sleeping.

It seems my friends smelled my intention and gave me a large dose of anti-lazy-bum holiday speech and proceeded to dump me a pile of what they named as Good Holiday Websites. After short listing the whole lot of them, I've decided to check on the ones that I've picked.

I need a site that has a good compilation of good and yet cheap hotels, places of interest, a local map of the area and of course, the places where all of the good food is cooked and I got orlando hotels.

Other than the requirements I had listed down previously, this proves to be a very informative website with lots of info of the hotels accommodation, car rental rates and even vacation packages. At least it gives me a boost in making my holiday spot decision.

My friends would be so pleased.

Happy Diwali

It's the festival of light today.

So as to commemorate this holy day and respect my Hindu friends and all of the Hindus in the world, I'd like to wish all of the Hindus a Happy and Joyous Diwali. May the festival of light wash away all the years of pain and sorrow and replace it with the beauty of light.

Happy Diwali!

Kedai.tv

My brother has once again came up with another of his not so stable whacko ideas.

It's a pay per click website where users can earn while they click on ads which can be found when you sign up. Your hard work (I doubt clicking is ever hard) will be paid the moment you reached $10.00 and you can choose the type of payment you want other than your usual PayPal.

The best thing is for Malaysians and Singaporeans we need not need the hassle of having to wait for PayPal clear up with our bank when we withdraw the amount to our bank account. You can will be paid via local currency check or direct bank transfer (Malaysians will be receiving local cheques as your payment mode). Simple

Furthermore you earn what your referrals earn and if its an advertiser who referred to, you get more earnings! Which means your hardwork really pays off.

The whole idea is very good and I totally recommend others to join. But then you have to pardon the bugs that ran rampant once in a while. It is after all a newly built site.

Hehehe..

Doing a charity favor to my brother. http://kedai.tv

Krillion, Your Top Brand SEO

I hereby declare that I've revised my X-Mas Wish list and this time its inclusive of the HDTV which is a hit amongst all household. Who doesn't with all the good quality graphics and sharper images, its a real hit list.

But I'm clueless as which brand and quality is good for me. There is so many HDTV being manufactured and tuned up every month and it's causing me a headache the decision making.

Luckily I have my trusty advisor, Krillion. It has loads of information on the top branded products in the current market. From electronics to home appliances, it gives a very detailed information on each of the products.

Take a HDTV sony 60 inch LCD for example. It gives the product specification of the item, shipping weight and place of origin or manufactured. While the usual electronic stores we usually often head to when we need to get such items, the product specification is usually not accompanied with it when you browse through. You need a sales representative to clarify your curiosity.

But with Krillion, you can just type in the words at the search box and let the list run out. From there you can browse through the items you want and do your research at your own comfort of the house without the hassle of waiting for the sales representative to approach you.

Simple isn't it?

On the road of recovery

I'm still trying to keep my stomach contents in but it's proving to be a tough challenge. The medications I'm taking is not working and my doc suspected I'm too stressed.

I'm even experiencing bouts of dizziness everytime I look at the computer for 10mins. Perhaps my doc is right, I am too stress.

I need to get a holiday... Haiz..

A good Life for Me

I was looking over the year book last night. It was only a few years back and that's what it takes to have some of my friends answering their Maker's call. The only things that they left behind are the bittersweet memories.

Insurance. I need a life insurance and have been telling almost the whole world that. But until now I couldn't find a suitable one for me. Browsing through the web, I found quite a few interesting sites and I got curious when I saw this phrase "Second To Die".

Yikes! Why would I want to be the second in line to die? Uh.. Actually when I check the link out, it turns out to be an insurance policy. Phew!

The policy turns out to be very sensible and interesting one. Its a joint life insurance, quite similar to the universal with the exception that it covers two people instead of one. So you can save a bit more instead of getting two life insurance policy.

But this policy is not focusing on the surviving spouse when the other die. Instead it focuses on anchoring the properties of the spouses to their heirs when the spouses passes on. Since the federal taxes in the US is quite high when it comes to properties, the chances of their heirs not getting inheriting any of their parents property is nil.

Very interesting policy isn't it? But then it depends on the parents. If their children is good to them, they could inherit something, but if they are not.. then... It's best we children start pampering our parents!

Fat cat

My old cat is dying!! Well she looked like dying.

The old gal is 10yrs++ and that was when I first adopted her. Poor gal can't even hunt her favourite food, birds and mice. She has to rely on Chicken Curry and Asam Pedas Fish Head for lunch and dinner. Oh and don't forget Fried Chicken as her breakfast!

Poor gal.. I really need to find a baby kitten to replace her just in case. But then Kontot (that's her name) would get all hissing at me when she finds out I'm having another stray around.

Hmm.. perhaps I get those that has unique spots on their fur..

Capella University

I was thinking of furthering my studies but not quite sure in which major I'd like to enroll. I got a few options; Multimedia & Technology, Language, Business Studies. All of them I have interest in although I've always been interested in the first two.

I'm currently thinking of partaking in online university but isn't sure which one. I need a well recognised University which can be used in the UK but with affordable pricing and flexible courses.

So capella university came in mind. I browsed through it but wasn't quite happy that they don't have English Language as one of their Programs. Don't ask why but I've always had a weird fascination with English Language and Literature.

They do however have Multimedia and Graphics Degree. They have interesting courses which I will need to use when I deal with the company's network problems again. I wonder if they can refresh my memory on the PHP and XHTML stuffs I learnt a few years back. The pricing is $300/credit. I'm not sure how it works in the US but I'm gonna give them a mail for it. Or I can just take up their free Online Seminar.

They have corporate alliances!! These means I can get the Boss to get some write up and put me there! Of course I have to dangle the Discount Chart at him to get him to move or I can just act that I've had a memory zapped off and telling him I need a refresher course.

Once I get everything figured out, I'll come back later. In the meantime I'm checking out their website again. I swear I saw that Business Studies somewhere..

Horror movies or just Gore?

How many times have you expected to enter the cinemas to get yourself scared witless only to get your stomach rebel at you during the half-time as you close your eyes while another Bad Spirit / Zombies splat the hero's member to pieces.

Nowadays Horror Movies are engulfed in gore and you can even see the details of it as the entrails and particles of brain cells fly around the screen. What happen to the old Scary Movie like Freddy Cooger and Ju-On and those classic Cantonese ghost movies? These movies are becoming more and more depleted while the new Gore Movies take over.

I really miss the times where I really had to cover my eyes with the cushion/ pillow when the jumping Chinese Vampire wakes up from the coffin and chase after the sputtering priests for his meal.

Ju-on also was another quite recent horror movies that doesn't involve too much violent but they sure have a great storyline and sound effects. Until now I would still get shaken while I watch Ju-On at midnight.

So why the high violent content? Does high violent content means we get more scared? I thought it was suppose to be a Horror Movie whereby evil spirits wonder around and scare everyone witless. Instead we get zombies with teeth that really needs dental check ups ripping up all the meat they can get their crumpling hands on.

But the funny one was I saw a particular movie that made my stomach turned bonkers. Sheep turned zombies and munching on human flesh for grass. Come on! A Sheep?? There are reasons why they are vegetarians, herbivores; They have blunt teeth! Not sharp canines! So Little Lamb Chop cannot be Big Bad Wolf. Totally wrong!

Movie makers and especially script writers need to get their mental check. If this is the type of movies they are marketing these days, I wonder what the future may hold for Hollywood.

Sims2 got new stuff!!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I did my half-yearly visit to The Sims 2 official website. They have a new expansion pack and I could barely contain the squeal of excitement.

The Sims 2 Bon Voyage is a total gamer! Of course I would still prefer their previous expansion pack, Open for Business, but this one is more for the adventurous Simmies. So I'm not gonna get that one.. unless somebody came up to me and start bragging about the goodness of the expansion pack.

Should I order it or not? I've had all of the previous expansion packs (yes I'm that fanatic) but then I don't think my computer can take the impact. Grr.. Ya la.. my desktop is going bonkers on me.

Drat! Seems I need to buy a new desktop first before I get the expansion pack.

Disney World

Since young I've always wanted to go to Disney Land or was it Disney World but whatever it is, I've always wanted to go there. I still remember my fascination with them while the big black box shows me of my favourite characters smiling and waving at me to join them in Disney Land. I remembered I pestered my mom and was promised to go to the theme park. I went there alright, I used the most high-tech transportation, Dream World to Disney World.

Someone referred me to this particular site when my still-on-going fascination with Disney World was basically plastered onto my face. The theme park happens to be in Orlando, Florida USA. Did some surfing and was once again engulfed in the magic of Disney. I can buy Disney Tickets at a very discounted price and you can also choose Park Hopper, Water Fun Park or No Expiration Option Magic ticket.

Interesting package but I'm still sticking to my Seven Dwarves.

Gastric Pains

Bean Sprouts or Tauge is NOT good for gastric patients like me. I have been happily munching on those high-protein veggies for the past few days that I just zoned off the warning signs.

So now I'm dashing through my medicine box, downing the pills and hopefully won't die looking like a puffer fish. I feel so bloated like a balloon!!

Be back when I'm deflated..

Double Time

My computer is working double time instead of the usual 0800-1800hrs. I can even hear the poor machine chugging and I think its about time I go off to buy another one. This time with the latest techies in it.

Not sure what its gonna be.. but able to become my work-horse is more than enough to suffice me. Poor old gal. Don't die on me yet, I still need you...

Antiques

I was once again being nagged by mom for the mess I've made during my lazy mood week. So to please her and save my eardrums, I had to open up my cabinets and dodge a few falling photo albums and Webster Dictionaries to do a little bit of cleaning up.

While sneezing my way through, my eye caught sight of a very interesting album that belongs to my elder brother, his precious coins album. Flipping through it, my brains were making the Kah-$hing sound especially when I saw the year a particular coin was made, not to mention it had that tarnished yet golden gleam..

So I made a few check up online for the gold coins and boy did my eyes really bulged out. The coins my brother kept was the Eagles! Imagine my shock when I even learn of the price.. They even have tips on which coins fetch a higher price and looking at this website, I guess its a real good investment on buying Gold Coins. After all, with the highly fluctuating crude oil prices per barrel these days, you may never know when your coins can really turn your bank account into gold..

moving..

I suppose all of you know by now that I have moved but there are some which are still clueless. But during the move from blogger to WP, the formats and commands of blogger makes me grit my teeth. I keep having all of my pictures flying around the webbie and I'm just too lazy to put in the necessary items to not make them fly around.

I wonder if any of you guys out there having any problems.. hmm...

Insurance is a must!

Since this morning, the first morning of Eid Mubarak, I've been greeting my teeth at the bad traffic. Everyone is in such a rush to reach their Elder's houses that the defensive and offensive driving classes they took went down the windshield.

Cars keep slithering into other lanes while drivers show their fingers at each other. Harlo people! It's the month of the celebration, not the month of the cursing. So while the other drivers curse and swear at each other, I decided to take a peek at my dad's insurance coverage for cars.

I wasn't at all please by the insurance scheme, so did a little surfing and found this particular site interesting. They have all sort of scheme that even covers poor/ bad driving insurance policies. So I think I need that considering I'm not that much of a driver.

But what really catches my eyes are the policy for teens and elders. I certainly need to get that one. My younger brother is a devil on the road.

Ketupat, rendang..

So its confirmed. Eid falls on this Sat for the Malaysians. Good thing cuz I haven't started making the Lepat and the Lopez yet... Yes my dear sister, LOPEZ.. yummy good food and my sister-in-law has decided to make Cheesecake tomorrow..

Ohhh.. I'm sooo lucky!

The kids are back.. I'm tired at entertaining their nonsense. My cute niece is once again running amock at my place and keep calling for me everytime she wants something. Oohh.. she just got a scolding from her grand-daddy... And she just ran to her mommy and went hide-&-seek from her grand-daddy..hehehe.. smart girl!

The doverites still haven't gotten over the fact that I didn't attend their Iftar together.. La darling.. I apologised already! I was really busy.. I didn't even got the time to go out dating and looking into the marriage market yet.. hahaha, just kidding..

So doverites darling, when is the date for Jln Raye ha? I wanna go collection tau.. duit takde so must give me extra.. ahaha.. I am thick-skinned Lisa.. hehehe

Not happening..

Things are just not going as planned. I got so many things to finish and submit before the end of this week and not one is near completion.

Then there is another problem of getting a new project which is by far the most difficult job to do once again. No project means no money and no money means I'm going to start becoming a Repo man. Now even my bank account is almost to the point of getting closed by the bank.

Why is this all happening to me AGAIN!!

I really need to get my bearings back all over again and this time I don't think I'm up to the stress its gonna put me in. Last time was bad enough which nearly made me into a hungry hyenna that snaps at everyone that disturbs my peace.

Haiz.. I just can't keep up that happy smiley face anymore. Its just toooooo tiring to keep on pretending everything is gonna be alright and solving everyone's problems that they just love to dump onto me.

I got my own life too ok! But does anyone even bother to listen to me? I don't think they even know I got my own life to work out..

Drat.. life can just be soooo tedious..

A little free time

8th Oct 2007,

Eid Mubarak, Hari Raya Puasa, is coming in less than 4 days. In the midst of cleaning up for the occasion, I had to sacrifice my good pair of lungs when I cleaned up my room. The kids really know how to mess up my place and it took me the whole day to clean off all the junk wrappers, thick dusts, leftover sweet wrappers (I'm gonna have Arul's head when he returns) and change all of the curtains, bedsheets and pick-up the dirty laundry which the kids have managed to hide.

Good thing I was fasting! I was highly tempted to go to Singapore and pull their ears for the mess they put me up with.

Anyway I also made a few cakes. Cake Lapis Prune n Apricots, Cake Lapis Prune n Mango with cinnamon flavor. It was my first try with my own recipe and it works!! ahaha.. although I think next time I'm gonna put in small amount of batter for each layers. The kids help out alot as usual so if the latter cake tasted a bit like mango, you have to thank the kids. It was their idea to put in mango flavour for one layer. At least they didn't put in royal icing on them... hahaha

Abang Azrin is coming over this Wednesday night.. but I think he'll reach here around Thursday morning.. But I'm not really sure cuz he is AZRIN.. hahaha

Busy giler..

3rd October 2007,

Busy.. I'm so busy that even at this moment I'm juggling a few work at the same time. My accounts are once again the center of my hellish attention, so you guys have to excuse my absence in the outings, chats.. etc

Now flipping through all my previous accounts of my two companies and I can't decide which one I want to start glimpsing at.. Both are in a heavy turmoil.. hehehe

Ramadan has come and is ending but luckily this year's much more easier than the previous whereby I had to literally do construction job under the glaring heat of the sun. My job with the Starhub project which was given by my main-con has ended, finally! We gentlemanly pull out after patiently put up with their stupid nonsense.. I pity their current foreign workers cuz they lump all the 17 workers into a pathetic, small and ventless store which we use to store our equipments and materials...

Anyway to my darling ex-doverites and current doverite (you know who you are, Harry-Scary), if you are reading this, WHEN ARE YOU GUYS FREE?!! I wanna jalan raye already.. In the mood for raye ok.. So you guys better give me your free dates cuz I don't want to clash with my company's account submission.

What's been cooking at..

Mom is once again in her entrepreneur mood swings. It has left me and my usually over energised siblings drained to accomodate her cute orders. Who in their right mind could ever say no to mom especially when she calls us by our nicknames.. (mom and her cuteness is much dangerous than a newly sharpen knife)

Shah is never safe when mom gives him Mommie Hugs.. ahahah

So after dallying and wrangling up my men into their correct mindset, I gave them an off day yesterday along with their hard-earned salary which I finally manage to squeeze from my main-con. Then set off back to JB just in time to buy mom her new Moulinex blender along with the chopper. The old cranky blender decided that it's service for the past 3 years is more than it can handle... hehehe

Then I had to lend my expertise to my tired siblings in draining the blended pineapple puree (we are making the traditional pineapple tarts). That standing and draining took up 2+hrs (we had to blend a total of 30pcs of large Morris pineapples). By the time I was done, it was 5pm, time to prepare for dinner or aka break-fast.

Since the cute old grannie was too tired and almost indispose, I was in-charge for the cooking which I was more than happy accomodate. Microwave steamed Tenggiri fish, Broccoli-Tomato-mushroom soup, Sambal sotong Kering and Kerang Rebus with Rice was ready by 6.30pm just in time for my younger sister to take care of the drinks. The menu was just nice for my anti-veggie siblings who hates vegetables. Since the steamed fish is a dry dish, they had no choice but to make do with the vegetable soup (the recipe is attached below).

I don't understand why Ayu insisted on wearing a sarong over her pants..

By the time it was 7pm, my back was almost at the brink of breaking. But at least, my family and my dad especially was pleased by the cooking. After dinner, I rallied my tired but re-energised siblings in helping mom in the cooking of the drained pineapples puree. As the picutre depicts, there are times we fooled around like idiots and times whereby sheer physical power is needed to stir the concoction constantly. That, I give the credit to my beloved youger brother, Shahrul. Without him, we women would be dead. The mixture once reaches the cooked stage mixed with sugar, is as good as making Dodol.. I don't even need to go to the gym to get muscles.. ahaha..

The head chef, mom, officially considers the pineapple ready at 11.30pm, which was almost 6hrs of cooking from 4pm. Although bone weary, the moment we received Mommy Hugs/Kisses and large pints of Moccha, the tension just simply fade away..

Ps.. Arul, since you requested, I'm putting up almost all of the pics we took that I think doesn't make me look silly and Ayu, I'm not making the tarts so you can eat until your stomach is full.. You kids owe me an ice-cream! ahaha

Wednesday, September 12, 2007

Grr..

I am pissed.. I'm frustrated.. I'm hungry.. tired.. sweaty and feasibly needs REST!!!!

Can someone just chase these idiots who are demanding every single drop of my energy away? I'm tempted to chase them off with a butter knife and brandishing my overweight cat on them. Its almost 10pm and I'm still up on my work which started at 8am. The dumb paper work is not even half done.

I want my shower!!! My fuse is only a few milimeter away from being shorted out.

Grr.. Shoo!! Don't disturb me you idiots!!

I want a good long cry....

Stress..

9th September 07

I'm still freezing mad about yesterday's meeting with my main-con. The idiotic demands they have requested is totally absurb. How could they request 35% of my total contract exclusive of the $50k which they will be taking for the supply of materials to my company. It's not at all agreeable to me and my company. If I were to accept it, I'll be left with only $15k which my salary and my other personnels' have accounted for.

Bull shit. I'm thinking of leaving the bloody project and let them take over after I get the $35k. It's really making me lose over my sleep..

Haiz.. This morning I happen to chance over the gossip paper, Metro. A particular news caught my attention. A woman was left on the altar. Its really sad and I totally feel disgusted by the groom's action. The bride's parents have even tried helping the groom on cashing out the dowry by either letting him pay half of the amount which is USD2000 or if he still can't afford it by the wedding day, the groom can just show a cheque with the said amount (just for the show) even if there is not enough cash in the account.

And yet the heartless coward didn't comply and instead took the easy way out, not even attendind the wedding at all. Truly if I ever to happen such guys like him, I'm more than happy to brain him with my umbrella.

I'm just hoping that will never happen to me... Scary to even think..

And can someone tell me what has happened to my whacko of a brother?? I've been trying to ask how he's been... that old man really worries me at times...

Happy Teachers' Day

2nd September 2007,

Again, I'm late in updating the weird stuffs I've been up to. Anyway before I completely forget, I'd like to formally wish all the teachers a very Happy Teachers' Day, pardon my belated wishes. In Singapore, the 1st of September is a day to remember the hardship and dedication of our hardworking teachers, regardless of the nerves-wreckage the students have haunted upon them.

I'd also like to take the opportunity to wish the teachers who have tolerated my manipulative ways, weird impromptu Hawaiian Dance in the middle of classes which was still being conducted (blame that on the caffeine.. hehehe) and whatever-not I have freaked them out with..

Personally I'd like to give sincerest appreciation to these teachers:

Rulang Primary School (1992-1998):

  • Mdm Low
  • Miss Beh (Now known as Mdm Beh)
  • Mdm Mafaaton
  • Mrs Liew

Boon Lay Secondary School (1998-2001)

  • Mr Lee (D&T teacher)
  • Mr Ismail
  • Ms Wong Bek Wan
  • Ms Sandra (Thank you for standing up for me!!)
  • My Sec 3 &; 4 form teacher.. I can't remember her name; Sorry!
  • Mr Ang (Take out your "Law-ling Block")
  • Mr Raja, disciplinary officer (No doubt you grate my teeth at times, you still have my respect)

ITE Dover -Electronics Dept (2002-2004)

  • Mr Peck (Digital Electronics Principles.. You drilled binary codes into my brains; Thanks!)
  • Mr Henry Ng (Micro P, Calculus, Project Yr 2.. Thanks for your dedication in making me belief that numbers are not a nightmare! Really love you and the free pizzas, hehehe)
  • Mr Chu ( Webpage Design, Project Yr 2.. Thank you for your belief and support in me)
  • Mr Lee (Fundementals of Communication.. I now understand the full fundementals of RF stuffs which you were trying your best in making me understand)

To those whom I had miss, don't mistaken that I've not appreciated the effort you guys had poured out.

Back to my usual rantings. I've conceded in making my friend a pic for him. But no way am I gonna take out the MRT pic of him that I've posted previously in the older post. Give and take hunny.. FYI to all single and available gals, he's still single and looking for a perfect woman. So drop him a line!!

And I also took a pic of myself at Heren B1 with a cow!! hehehe.. Lisa, I took a picture with a cow.. ahaha.. But anyway it wasn't me who take the pic of me, so I place the blame of me looking fat fully on Fazly's shoulder. *sticks out her tounge* See how nice the pic Fazly's in when I took the pic?

I also have a few more pics so post but my handphone is too far away from me to bluetooth it to my comp.. I'm just being plain lazy in climbing the stairs to get to my phone.

Another Shots..

21st August 2007,

I was suppose to update this and put it up on the net last weekend but since I got a little caught up, the pics had to be posted today. Anyway its better now than never.

My camera phone is almost full and I'm getting quite bored taking pictures of almost non-breathing subjects, so I got myself another new model. Must have good looks, most preferably a guy, at least an OK body... I nearly gave up at ever finding a new model.. (duh! I'm forever locked up in my office and job) But luckily a delicious new specimen came up!!

Who else but my unexpected, oblivious to my camera dominating antics; Fazly!! Muahaha.. darling, you are now my new specimen..

I had actually wanted to add a few more stuffs but since the florescent light was killing the image, I had no choice but to add a little adjustment to the hue and saturation of the original picture. I was itching to put pink bunnies but since he is my old school mate, I will have to give him the respect he needs by putting the other curvy stuff in.. (next time, I will put the bunnies in!!) Not really the best of my works but it'll do for now.. Will have to take other pics..

Anyway this is another on the spot grabbed picture I did when I was at Liang Court (at Clarke Quay) thrashing through the rain after I had changed passes with the security. You see the lovely rain clouds surrounding the hotel building.. very rare to find in the busy streets of the Lion City.

Pretty right?

Then there is another one I took last Friday in Malaysia while I was heading back from Singapore to my home, Skudai. It was taken from underneath the flyover at Angsana Shopping Mall highway heading to Senai.. I love the puffy clouds..

It has now become my new desktop background

My two cents..

19th August 2007

A few more days to go before the fasting month takes over. Ramadan is a month of realisation and reflection on our pass deeds whether be it good or bad and also to humble ourselves to our maker, Allah. But with the new globalisation and modernisation revolutionising in almost every part of the world, the holy month has become a month of spending and filling the stomachs to the brim the moment dusk clambers over Mother Earth.

Sad to say not many muslims have continued the practice of bringing ourselves closer to god by reading the quran, attending the Terawih and doing charity for the needy. Instead we are more concentrating on personal needs, work and shopping. What has most muslim become these days?

This brought me with a staggering thought.. Will I become exactly what I had described about the latter or will I become a good Muslimah? A deep thinking I might say but like what my dad always say, It all depends on one's Iman.

What do you think?

New Game

Ready for a shopping spree at the most drop dead prices? A plasma TV that cost USD$1.77? Unbelivable? Well that is what this site has to offer.

Unlike Ebay, whereby the prices seem extremely bogus but when it comes to paying the freight charges, it costs much more than the retail ones', this site is really good and you can even do it over your phone (for US citizens only). What I really like about it is the FREE shipping rate and bidding the lowest unique price. So no burnt out pocket holes for me.

To learn more about the instructions on bidding, you can view it here. It's really simple and easy when I read the instructions although I did get a little confuse on the last part of the description regarding the Tax Department. But after watching the video on it, it pretty clears up every confusion I have.

Interested? You can just drop in here.

Silver or Steel?

A little metaphor to make you guys ponder a while on the topic I've decided to crack up today.

A friend of mine has just recently requested for me to do a little check up on the ever-on-going Swiss Cash Investment scheme that now goes by the domain of : http://www.swisscash.net. I wouldn't have bothered to even glance it up but since he has said that a friend of his has invested SGD$3000.00 and will now be receiving SGD$12,000.00 in a few months time although I didn't manage to ask how long was the investment but the idea of getting like 400% of interest p.a sounds totally bogus to me. And so I've decided to compile a few scrap notes on them.

I couldn't manage to open the site despite several attempts at different timing and also different download speeds and computers ( I have a laptop and a desktop). But I did manage to whack it up in my usual anti-scammers community site and found quite a few quirks on this "GET SCAMMERS RICH SCHEME".

1) Found that their most occured visitors on their websites are Singaporeans, Malaysians, USA, Indonesia and others.

2) Their FTP server location I wasn't able to look up cuz of some runtime erorr and yada-yada.. Just like when I had tried to load their main site. (very strange indeed)

3) Decided to give my local Swiss Embassy a call for their thoughts on this concoction. I'm not surprised to hear them repeating almost the same thing when I talked to the Nigerian Consulate in Singapore about the little case of that idiotic Nigerian Scamming of Traders. But I did pass to the Swiss Embassy on the details of www.swisscash.net for their future reference.

4) Found that www.swisscash.net is a mirror website of www.moneyproject.biz and all of their transactions have been moved to www.swisscash.net with effect of 2nd March 07. Why they wanna do that, I'm clueless.

5) Surprisingly a website that has so many investors has only 4PR and I'm only 2PR.. Hmm.. It seems that their popularity is as good as my brother's and he doesn't even have fancy website.. hahaha

6) I've also found a little interesting note from Bank Negara Malaysia regarding this scheme: "Bank Negara Malaysia and Securities Commission of Malaysia would like to inform members of the public that Swiss Mutual Fund, the company that is promoting the Swiss Cash fund, is not licensed or exempted from licensing by Bank Negara Malaysia to accept deposits nor is it licensed by the Securities Commission to carry out asset management activities or services in Malaysia. Swiss Cash fund promoted by Swiss Mutual Fund has not been approved nor endorsed by the Securities Commission"

ie They are not legally liecensed in Malaysia even though they know that such thing exist. you can read it up more here.

7) I still can't load the website up!!

summary: I really think this whole scheme is just another scam and unless I have more than 12 people who doesn't work for them and show me proof of their so called investment, I'd advise great caution when you give out cash to unknown societies and groups.

Typi..Typy.. Type!

1st August 2007,

Wow.. Long time since I posted anything onto this dusty site. Work was a great huge hell with me running around like a mad woman, meeting up "DEADLINES", making sure all my plans go on as smoothly as possible, troubleshooting irritating sites/equipments which just doesn't want to cooperate with me, cleaning up my messy desk....
I need another dose of weekend off.. really draining..

But in between those mad drives, I managed to steal a few minutes and take a few snapshops.. so guess who is in the lime light this time.. *cackles madly

I guess Sha-sha (aka: Shahrul Nizam) had a little too much ABC Special(Air Batu Campur).. Too high sugar intake which causes him a little tipsy on the side.

Then the little brat decided she wanted in when she saw the big twits framed onto my desktop (aka Sha-sha n Me) drat.. too dark n my sony ericsson k610im doesn't have flash.. Sorry Yu-Yut, Acik promise to get another picture with you darling.

Amelia had somehow realised her Acik got new handphone and cutely demanded that I take a photo of her. See the mischevious impish smile she got on all the pics? It scares me sometime when she uses those on me... Note to the Sassy Mom: Keep her away from Barney!!

But the Champion for Last month's Picture of The Month goes to my dearest middle-finger-less handicapped-by-accident elder brother, Azrin! Yes lah brother.. show everyone how you try to pry the durian open... and I really stress on the "try" (cuz he didn't manage to open it) hehehe...

Wheee!!!!

8th July 07,

Hey-hey! Got an off day finally and it was totally well used. Chilled out with old pals and had new discoveries. Lisa finally got herself engaged to her current boyfriend whom I still haven't met face to face yet. Jannah didn't make manage to make it due to some unforseen circumstances, but I've met her the day before so its Ok.

Kamal.. wow.. he's gotten larger.. hehehe.. (no offence darling) He's still the same old quiet guy but in a different size.. ahaha..

Din.. well he's back to the old school and have finally wriggled out of his childhood shell. (aka more matured) I know you can do it Harry-Scary! Try not to 'rempit' on your bike too much sugar.. I think I'll die of heart-attack on your bike everytime you swerve in-and-out traffic.. hehehe

We had lunch at Bukit Timah Al-Azhar eatery. Food is horrible... and the service is as good as a snails pace. I do not reccomend anyone to eat there. Din's drink, Ribena, was stale and you can taste the weird sour taste when you drink it. I had ordered Masala Thosai and it came soo late that my food was cold and thosai when its cold, you can just throw it in the bin.

Yes.. it was that horrible.

Anyway I had to thank Kamal for the lunch since he paid for it. We did have fun later on when we had a two on two pool competition. Since I was so rusty in the game (its been almost 4yrs since I last played) I had cost my team to lost quite a few times.. but after a few rounds, we beat Lisa n Kamal's team.. even though Lisa said it otherwise in her blog (sticks out her tongue)

Lisa had to leave early since it is her big day, her engagement ceremony at 7pm but since she didn't wanna invite us.. so I was left with Din to circle the big Island of the Republic. Anyway here's the pic I took with Din at 10pm in front of the High Court of Singapore. Both of us look extremely haggard... hahaha..

And look!! Din is part of the Simpsons Family!! What a twerp... ahaha

Smile.. You're on MY camera!!

17th June 2007,

Since I've gotten the new camera, I've decided to be a little nosy reporter and stick my nose into anything that well, catches my eye. This time I've gotten quite a few pictures , don't worry I try not to breach any laws that breaches one's privacy.

Anyway this is a picture I've taken on the irresponsibility of certain contractors that was doing the upgrading works on the overhead flyover which starts from Tampoi to Skudai. This picture however is taken at a junction heading to Taman Perling and Kip Mart Tampoi. See how the tyre tracks of JCB cuts the water flow of the already clogged up drain.. Opps.. I forgot to tell you that it was my dad that took the picture.. hehehehe..

This another picture was of me fooling around at 2am during my RF installation at Far East Shopping Center. Mental Note: One should always goof around to stop Mr. Sandman

By the way I think I should share this little particular "public" toilet with the public.. If you take a good look at it carefully, you'd realise that the make-shift toilet is made a few meters away from the main highway heading to the City from Skudai. I'd suggest you don't ride a bike during the rainy days as their sanitation isn't passable. You'd not wanna know what floats around.. hehehe (get my drift?)

See the new stuffs..

New stuffs I have for myself and my weird sense of humour.

I got a new 7.1MG pixel digital Rollei Brand at a price of $250.00 along with 1Gb of SanDisk memory card. I wasn't quite happy with the deal cuz I know I should have haggled more but what I can I do.. its paid and done for.. here's the pic of it though:

I also managed to stupidly saw my finger but luckily only the flesh that was sawn off, not my finger... hehehe.. Thanks to the make-do eletrical black pvc tape, my finger was saved (there wasn't a handi-plast). I was suppose to just saw a small hole in the false ceiling to make access during my running of 7/8 RF feeder cable but then I got unlucky. I got the pic of my dried encrusted finger.. Yeah I know I'm acting like a sadistic maniac.. hehehe..

Also did RF installation at Far East Shopping Center. I didn't know they had a Scotts Bar there and it was pretty fun hearing and watching them be at "home" during the happy hours. (I had to do night duty Darls)

Ye Savvy?

Other than the great acting of Johnny Depp a.k.a Captain Jack Sparrow, the new Pirates of the Carribean, At World's End is a total stomach blaster.

I finally managed to get out of my death hole and dragged my younger brother, ring up the fuel and drove off to the movies. The long que at Cathay Cinema in City Square Johor didn't deter me from getting my prey, Johnny Depp's slurry words. Unfortunately, I was a little late in my bookings and I somehow got hauled up in the front seats... hehehe

The story started with shackled prisoners, pirates and their families I guess, marching down to the gallows with a boy starting the anthem of the pirates. Who would have thought, pirates having a national anthem? Ingeniously funny!

So anyway I got a good glimpse of what my country looks like during the Lanun Era (Pirates Era) and mind you, it doesn't look abit like Singapore or Temasek as what it should have been named at that time. It looks just like a picture taken from China and the River Market in Thailand. But then I wasn't born during that time, so I'll just have to close my eyes.

I totally love the way Johnny Depp handles his part especially when he was talking (arguing) with his good and bad conscience, but it seems the good one doesn't have any good points other than pointing out Jack will be having tentacles face should he continue on his conquest in being the Flying Dutch Man's captain.

In this part of the movie, lots of questions that was raised in the previous movies like, "Wassup with the Jack's compass and that guy's eye?" will be answered.

The action and fighting scene is a must watch especially when it complements perfectly with the suspense yet hilarious plot. I'm not going to bubble out the whole story so you guys will just have to march down to the cinemas and que like the rest of Pirates of the Carribean fans.
